Liberate yourself from pain
Our bodies are intricate systems interconnected in a series of complex ways, which is why solving the issue of pain is often not straightforward.
To alleviate pain and prevent it in the future, it's crucial to undergo specialized assessment and diagnosis at OrtoGo Medical Centre. A tailored treatment plan will help regain comfort, live pain-free, and prevent future discomfort.
These specialists are medical professionals with expertise in physiology, pathology, biomechanics, and body systems. They include podiatrists, physiotherapists, sports medicine physicians, and surgeons.
The treatment plan isn't just about insoles. It may encompass essential strengthening and stretching exercises, changing the shoes you wear, and adjusting lifestyle habits. An OrtoGo doctor can assist in implementing changes that will save you money in the long run, reduce pain and discomfort, and help you find joy in life.
Why do we need feet to support us?
People have walked the planet for thousands of years, shouldn't we be quite good at moving around now? Why do so many of us need insoles to help stabilize and support our feet?
Over the last 200 years, our environment has changed significantly. Our feet were designed for softer terrain, but now we live mainly on hard, flat concrete surfaces, and our feet are forced to flatten and twist with every step.
Our lifestyle has changed. We are more sedentary in daily life, spending most of our time at a desk or in front of a television. Our feet are now less accustomed to activity. When we physically challenge ourselves, joints, muscles, and tendons are strained, which they are not accustomed to. Modern footwear does not always support the feet. High heels, pointed shoes, shoes with minimal support or structure, sandals, or generally weak shoes cause blisters and unnecessary pain. We often wear these shoes for their good looks, but how can we minimize the pain they cause?
What to expect during consultation and insole designing?
Consultation
An orthopaedist at OrtoGo will provide consultations during which they will examine the causes of pain, what may be causing it, and how it affects your body.
The range of orthotics made by Formthotics™ has been specially designed for professional medical use. A wide range of products and a unique shape ensure that you achieve a fit tailored to your feet.
Designing Formthotics™ insoles
The orthopaedist at OrtoGo can modify your Formthotics™ before they are thermoformed (heated). This process is very quick and can be done during a single visit. After heating the Formthotics, you place your feet in shoes, and the Formthotics™ gently mold to the shape of your feet and shoes. You will literally see the imprint of your foot pressed into the Formthotics™ after cooling.
